The maps app is one of my most-used apps. Hope they can make it even better. Though I don't know how they would do it without building on google's data.

Come on now. Other than a VERY select few, Atari games are terrible and don't hold up at all.

Who needs a new iphone every year? Let alone every 2 years? I just got an iphone 4 and it's so much more advanced than certainly any phone that I've ever had (and probably more advanced than most phones out there), that I don't see anyone needing to replace it ever unless it brakes.

When you join the Apple developers program, you sign an agreement to not discuss confidential and pre-release software outside of approved forums. Posting reviews of Leopard features in a public blog is the best way to get your developer membership voided and get a nastygram from Apple Legal, at the very least. You'd imagine that people would have caught on by now...

No, because what the criminals did has nothing to do with medical diseases. In the other hand, they did made something against the law in formulating or being part of a terrorist plan, of which they have knowledge. And that knowledge might lead you to prevent this terrorist act to be executed.
But lives could be saved if we did tests on them, probably 100's of thousands of lives.
Isn't your point that the ends justify the means? If we torture people we might be able to obtain information and save lives? Well if saving lives is the goal we should be testing drugs and experimental procedures on criminals after all it will save lives.
Should we torture criminals we catch (in this country) until they inform on other criminals they know? After all it might save lives.
But lives could be saved if we did tests on them, probably 100's of thousands of lives.

If you don't have it now - don't bother getting it. There are free services that do everything that .Mac does. However, since I am so dependent on the email address - I'm stuck paying the $99 a year.
You can get it for $79, sometimes lower, on Amazon.com. Don't fall for the all-too-easy "automatic renewal" check box. I've wasted at least one hundred bucks over the years through that thing.

I just don't understand this whole "he's 18 and and adult" routine. He may be 18 in the eyes of the law, but with no real life experience behind him I hardly think he can be considered mature enough to make adult decisions. What's with this whole "hey presto the law says your an adult so you your all grow up now" ??
So you'd rather his folks make all the big decisions for him and never let him become that adult?

I wanted an app that would show me the current month and following month's calendars in a small window, for when I'm planning the next couple of week's activities. I found it as CalendarCenter (http://www.macdev.ca/macos/Freeware.html) from MacDev.ca. It's not elegant but it does just the one trick I wanted. Well finally we might actually see decent image editing on the iPad. I can't imagine this being anywhere as great as Photoshop on a real computer anytime soon, but the iPad should be able to run something like Photoshop 7 or CS without any problems thanks to the CPU power and RAM it has. If they just made it touch sensitive somehow, or added stylus or external tablet support somehow, that would be awesome.
I doubt there really is the need for a totally rewritten app here, as it will lack 99% of the good features in Photoshop (Liquify, robust Type tool, Curves, etc...).

That's odd. My iPad 2 does return to the previous spot when I hit back. Have you tried to see if it does it on every web page or just a handful?

This is another reason why I will likely just transfer my number to Google Voice for $20 + cancellation fees without losing my number. Currently my cost would be about $100 total for the change on top of a contract price of $299 (for 32GB model), so $399 instead of $549.

Platelet donations take longer than blood donations (at least an hour longer in most cases). You can donate platelets much more often because your body regenerates them so quickly, in a matter of days instead of months. Some people feel temporarily light-headed after donating blood, which is why they insist that you rest and have a snack afterwards. That happens less often with platelet donations.
One thing I didn't know until recently: A lot of donation centers encourage platelet donation because platelets have a shorter shelf life than whole blood and supplies can easily run low. But if your blood type is O negative (you're a "universal donor") and you volunteer to donate platelets, they'll likely ask you to donate blood instead!
A Whole BLood Donation will take an average of 5-10 minutes once you're in the phlebotomy chair.... An automated RBC (double red cell) takes approximately 25 minutes in the phlebotomy chair - and a Platelet donation can vary quite a bit... dependent on your body mass, pre-platelet count, etc... average probably about 60 minutes.... In automated procedures, donors get saline back during the procedures, which is why the donors feel better vs. whole blood donors who don't receive any return saline....
Red Blood Cells have a usual shelf life of 42 days - Platelets have a shelf life of 5 days... therefore, the needs are very different - All are extremely important! so ....wherever you fall in the spectrum, keep coming back!

Address Book syncing now works!!! I'm happy. 7.0.2 definitely is a lot nicer looking. Will have to play around with it some more today.

REALLY? You're going to throw a 3 and 4 year old phone into the argument? Fine. How many old Android phones can run all the available apps. Heck, how many Android phones less than a year old run all the apps available?:rolleyes:
I am in no way sticking up for Android. I think its fragmentation is worse than what exists on iOS. I was just pointing out that iOS is also fragmented, in its own way. To be honest, iPads can run every app available in the App Store, but an iPhone/iPod Touch can't (the gotcha that iPad Only apps won't run on the other devices).
