Whenever it comes I'm sure it will be awesome. All this attention to when it is coming out reminds me of when I was a kid waiting for Christmas day to arrive :)

Hmm, garbage. A bit strong, maybe? Chrysler has made its fair share of substandard autos too. Most versions of the Neon apart from the early twincams were pretty awful. The Avenger, Stratus, Sebring? Not so much. The Nitro? eek. The 300C/Charger is not so great with the V6 IMO, but equipped with the Hemi (provided you can handle the horrific fuel economy) it does a fair impression of a musclecar. The Challenger is retro done well, but is a niche vehicle.
I would take the current Golf over any of Chrysler's smaller offerings.
VW has had some nasty problems, especially in the electronics dept. I believe they are getting better, though I haven't seen any recent news on it. Fiat seems to have been a blessing for Chrysler. Based on some stuff I have read, it's amazing they didn't go bankrupt earlier. Daimler and Cerebus really just let them wither. I heard one story about the Fiat people being shocked at how little money they had been allocated for interior design while under Cerebus. Fiat seems to have corrected this, as the redesigned interiors in the 300, 200, and others are greatly improved. They still have a long way to go, as the 200 is little more than a facelifted Sebring, but it is still an improvement. The new 3.6L Pentastar V6 is also a very nice engine. They have come a long way in a short time, but Chrysler still has a long way to go.
I agree that the new design is very bland. I think they know what they are doing. The car companies seem to believe that this type of design will sell the most cars in the U.S. The Hyundai Sonata is a slight break from this mold.
Of course bland sells in the mid-size market. The Accord and Camry are the largest selling cars in the US.

As far as I'm aware, I think I'm correct in saying that FaceTime ONLY works via wi-fi (non JB).
My question, then, is this - if I had 1 iPhone 4 connected to a 2nd iPhone 4 via Personal Hotspot (so in theory - it IS on wi-fi), would FaceTime work to a 3rd compatible device?!

In 5 years time, Kindle OS will have a greater market share than android I think.
Really stop lying to yourself. Android is a powerful mobile OS that can be adapted to many situations. Its not going anywhere for a while. Kindle will not outsell it as kindles direct competition the Nook (an android device). Android will save people money in the future. Why right your own set of code for a cash register when you just build it on top of android.

It may be fun for play, but I cant see anything real being done on that. Most high end photo editors wont even use a trackpad/laptop...
Now if they can make it double as a wacom for a desktop and mirror the image form the computer.. now youre talking :)
And from a user standpoint, having all menus buried and no keyboard shortcuts, you're expanding the time to edit drastically.

Features for the sake of features does not impress me. Unless there is some hidden bombshell of a feature in Leopard it's looking more and more likely I won't be upgrading. I'm still holding out hope for a bombshell at MWSF this January. Vista will be all but released. Apple's excuses for not announcing will have dried up and it will be put up or shut up time. Is it really necessary to upgrade your phone every time Apple release a new iPhone? Come on... this is ridiculous. I'm STILL on my 3G (no S) and I can finally say I can't wait for the 5th to come out.
I think those who buys the new generation iPhone while they are still under their 2 year contract are dummies. No offense... just wait another year and get an even better phone.

You will only loose your rollover minutes if you switch plan types. Example from Family Talk to a single line plan. Changing minutes will not effect your roll over minutes.

I'm pulling this one a bit out of nowhere, but I've once heard that the whole thing with diesel not being popular in the US is a bit of a convenient balance, since you can split petroleum into gas and get diesel as a byproduct, so it's nice to have a balance.

The iPod touch probably has iOS 4.1, which can be jailbroken using limera1n. If you'd like to update to iOS 4.2, you can, but your jailbreak will be tethered.
