I got my Finger Printing notice today and I was comparing it with the 485 receipt. The 485 receipt had A# as A9xxxxxxx ( A with 8 digits) as the receipt number while the FP notice had A09xxxxxxx as the number.
The FP notice has a "0" after the "A" and the 485 notice does not have that 0. All the digits are the same but for the 0. Any one has it similar. do i need to worry abt it? any suggestions? You think i need to get it corrected?

All options are possible, depends on your personal preference. There is NO good answer.
If your spouse is in H1B and have a stable income, I would suggest the H4 path.

i am currently on my 8th year h1..and on the bench..hoping some projects will come thru in a week or so.
Currently i have been on LOP for almost 5 weeks now..
what do you think would be a good option for me:
a.) Start the process for H4..and find a new job..and transfer H1 and stay till H1 is valid till may 2010..
b.) Be on bench for few more weeks.. and hope someting will work out...(firm has said they wont cancel my h1/140).. they are just being helpful..but?
c.) R2I ASAP...and try for a consular processing....?
d.) go to H4...and R2I in May...then if the Eb2(Dec 2005) dates are current..try for a CP..its a long shot...
i am confused..any suggestions??

My employer lawyer says ; 485 dates should be current to add my wife ?? is that true ??

Both NIW and Eb-1a are DIY, so I do not have a lawyer to ask. It would be appreciated if you can share the response from your lawyer.
I am also thinking about interfiling, but it is said that both 140 have to be approved for interfiling of 485. How long does it take for interfiling? someone said it takes a long time. not sure if it is right.
I am in similar boat. What does your lawyer say? I am waiting for my lawyer response. How about option on interfiling NIW 140 with the pending I-485. That is do not file new I-485 but change underlined I-140 in the old one. Ask your lawyer about that and let us also know whats his/her response.

Today my lawyer sent me my receipt numbers for 485, EAD and AP. when I enter my AP receipt number to check online status I see the following...
Application Type: OS155A, IMMIGRANT VISA AND ALIEN REGISTRATION
Current Status: Card production ordered.
On August 30, 2007, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.
Anyone know what this means... It doesn't say I-131 in application type..

Current Status: Fingerprint fee rejected and notice mailed; case in suspense.
On August 23, 2007, we rejected your fingerprint fee and mailed you instructions for how to submit the necessary payment. This case is now in suspense. Please submit your payment with our notice as soon as possible after you receive our notice so we may resume processing of this case.
My lawyer says the checks have been cashed and we have proof of this.. She says it can be a typo..
Most weird part is for my EAD it says card has been ordered.. but I haven't even done finger prints and my 485 is in suspense..

Thanks for replying back. I dont think we would need a change in legislaturel for USCIS to start accepting i-485 applications, when the PD's are not current. I'm sure there must be a way we are just not thinking differently. If we were talking about getting the GC, then yes we would need a change in the legislative process via or bill and so the hopes from CIR. Currently EAD does not mandate a need to prove an employer-employee relationship during renewal or issuance as in the case of a H-1B application.

Hi,
I'm in H1B visa and my visa was valid until 26th October , 2012. Recently, I went Bangladesh and US embassy stamped visa until October 23, 2011. When I returned US, Immigration office issued me I-94 validity until September 23, 2011. Now how long I can stay in US?? Do I need to apply for H1B visa extension or I will go to Canada or Mexico to apply for new visa or if I go to Canada or Mexico and return back, they will issue me a new I-94 until Sep/Oct 2012. Any one please suggest what should I do?

You have some nice images, but I would think they are most of all interesting to the people whose faces you have photographed. It's not my taste, a bit gruesome, but it looks well done as far as I can judge it.
I second the suggestion to upload your critique images to dphoto, use your personal gallery. I think members of this site will be more inclined to write some comments here than at any other linked site.
